NAVSEA African Americans & The Vote Campaign
NAVSEA's African American Employee Resource Group (AAERG) hosts its Annual National African American/Black History Month Observance recognizing their distinguished guest speaker.
AAERG wanted to provide marketing materials for the observance event attendees to showcase updated content based on themes highlighting African Americans and the Vote.
As the design lead, I consulted with the project manager to implement a strategy that would further the concept tying past and present black historical figures who were influential in politics and voting. I proposed to create a co-ed illustration series highlighting 4 figures to convey the concept. Materials included print and digital assets such as posters, program brochures, and online advertisements on NAVSEA's intranet websites. I managed the in-house printing process on large format for posters and industrial printers and did quality assurance checks to ensure perfect binding production.
The annual event was held at Navy Yard’s Auditorium with over 100 visitors present to hear the guest speaker Julius S. Caesar. The brochures were handed out to each visitor.
