Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report 2020

The Trafficking In Persons (TIP) Report is presented by the Secretary of State to the global public through print and digital publication giving the current statistics of sex and drug trafficking in the world provided by all 195 countries.

The State Department wanted to make the 20th edition commemorative in order to be a monumental keepsake. The client wanted to enhance the report's look and feel, incorporate a consistent visual theme, and improve readability.

As the design lead, I worked with the creative team to brainstorm, choose and present visual design creations and adjustments. I simplified layouts, created new folio elements, updated palettes and typography for consistency, improved image composition, and incorporated a matte finish and embossed image on the front cover for print version.

This project earned recognition from the State Department, was presented online by SOS Michael Pompeo and is published online on the DOS website. The report is the most expansive and critical document used by the US and UN to reinforce global anti-trafficking norms.
